Blaine Ashley began as a Fashion Show and Event Coordinator for the W Hotel Honolulu in 2000. After 2 years there she headed to London, England to further her Fashion and Marketing studies at the American Intercontinental University. After 1 year abroad, Blaine applied to a temp position in PR with French designer, Catherine Malandrino in New York City. While there, Blaine honed her skills in Public Relation, marketing and Fashion.

Both London and New York were incredibly influential in both Blaine’s sense of style and business acumen. So much so, she decided to return to Hawaii to expand upon her entrepreneurial path. In 2004, just as hit shows Baywatch and Lost started filming on Oahu, Blaine was contacted by People Magazine to style Shannen Doherty for an editorial spread. Soon after, she started wardrobe styling for various other Lost cast members for several key lifestyle publications including People, US, OK, In Style, and Modern Luxury magazines. Celebrities Blaine has styled include Elizabeth Mitchell, Matthew Fox, Josh Halloway, Malia Jones and Daniel Dae Kim.

Not long after she began styling, Blaine started writing fashion pieces for several publications. Then, in 2007, Blaine expanded her writing portfolio to include event, scene, hotel, food, wine, spa and travel writing and reporting. And this become her real passion.

In 2008, Blaine decided to take her fashion and styling expertise directly to her audience by launching online boutique ShopBlaineAshley.com. This virtual store was designed as if the consumer was stepping into a stylist/fashion editor’s closet.

A year later, in 2009, she even did on-screen styling for a local news channel once a week for a segment she co-hosted and produced. She also launched the Blaine Ashley private label, which can be found online at BlaineAshley.com and at select stores across the island chain.

Currently, Blaine spends time jet setting between Hawaii, LA and New York and spends the majority of her time contributing to HauteLiving.com,WhatToWear.comTasting Panel Magazine and the recently launched citYsip.com which she is also co-founder and Editor-in-Chief.

In her spare time, Blaine enjoys all water activities especially stand-up paddle boarding. She also loves to read, travel, wine and dine, and brush up on French which she also minored in at The University of Hawaii at Manoa.
